The Spice That Holds Its Ground
Cloves don't ask for attention. They command it.
A single whole clove dropped into simmering water fills an entire kitchen. Ground into a curry, it anchors everything around it — the spice that keeps the other spices honest. Biting into one raw is almost medicinal: the eugenol numbs slightly, warms deeply, and lingers long after.
Our Organic Cloves are grown in Sri Lanka, hand-harvested at the precise moment the bud is full but unopened — the window that takes experience to read and seconds to miss. Dried naturally until they're dense, dark, and loaded with essential oils. These are not the pale, brittle cloves you shake from a generic jar. These are the real thing: heavy, aromatic, oily to the touch.
Use them whole in biryanis, slow braises, and mulled drinks. Grind them fresh for garam masala or spice rubs. Or, in the oldest tradition, simply hold one between your teeth when you need to think clearly.
Fair Trade certified. Which means the farmer who picked these was paid fairly for work that took generations of knowledge to learn.
