How to Make a Turmeric Milkshake at Home

This recipe comes together in minutes and requires only a blender.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or coconut)

  • 1 frozen banana

  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric (or 1 teaspoon freshly grated)

  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

  • Pinch of black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger (optional)

  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup, to taste

  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Ice cubes, optional


Step-by-Step Method

Start by pouring the milk into a blender—this helps the blades move smoothly.

Add the frozen banana, turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, ginger, sweetener, and vanilla.

Blend for about 30–45 seconds, until the mixture becomes thick, silky, and glowing golden.

Taste and adjust. If you prefer more warmth, add a pinch of ginger or cinnamon. For extra sweetness, drizzle in a bit more honey or maple syrup and blend again briefly.

Pour into a chilled glass, sprinkle a dusting of cinnamon or turmeric on top, and enjoy immediately while fresh and creamy.
